HireMyAccountant is a directory of accounting firms in the United States, operated by Markology. Contact us at hello@hiremyaccountant.com.

We publish information about accounting firms so you can choose one. We are not accountants. Nothing here is accounting, tax, legal or financial advice, and a listing is not a recommendation to hire. Any engagement you enter into is between you and that firm. We are not a party to it and we are not responsible for the work they do.

Searching, browsing and contacting firms costs nothing and needs no account. We do not charge you, and we do not take a commission on any engagement.

Most listings are compiled from public records, including the IRS directory of credentialed return preparers, and from what each firm publishes on its own website. Firms we have not vetted cannot edit or remove their listing. Information may be out of date or wrong; tell us at hello@hiremyaccountant.com and we will correct it.

A Vetted firm has paid the membership, confirmed its services and specialties with our editors, and had its public information and client feedback reviewed. We do not verify licenses, credentials or disciplinary records. Some Vetted firms may be past or current clients of our parent company. Payment starts that process and never buys the outcome. Roughly one in three applicants pass. Vetted is our opinion, formed honestly, not a guarantee of the firm's work.

Vetted partner membership is $999 per year. By default it renews automatically each year. You can untick auto-renewal when you apply, and you can cancel at any time from the billing portal or by emailing hello@hiremyaccountant.com. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current year except under section 7. The optional on-camera spotlight is $299 one time and is invoiced after the recording.

If you apply, pay, and do not pass vetting, we refund the membership in full. If you pass and later change your mind, the current year is not refundable, because the review work has already been done. We refund in full if we fail to carry out the vetting within 60 days of payment for reasons within our control.

You agree to confirm your services and specialties with our editors, to let us contact clients and read public feedback, and to accept that anything unflattering we find stays on your profile. You cannot pay to have it removed. You confirm that the credentials you give us are accurate and current, and that you are licensed where you say you are.

A firm can ask to be removed from the directory entirely at hello@hiremyaccountant.com and we will do so. What a firm cannot do is stay listed and edit what we found.

HireMyAccountant is owned by Markology, a marketing agency whose clients are accounting firms. Some vetted firms are also agency clients. They go through the same review as everyone else, and there is no separate route to the badge.

Do not scrape the site, resell the data, or use it to send bulk unsolicited messages to the firms listed. Do not misrepresent yourself as a firm you do not own.

We provide the site as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from your choice of accountant, from errors in a listing, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects paying members we will email them before it takes effect.
